• To deliver custody transfer and cargo supervision services as instructed by your local Inspection Supervisor/ Manager • To ensure at all times works are fully compliant with client specific instructions/ protocols and adherence to Industry Standards (API/ ASTM/ ISO/ EI), best practise and SGS procedures.
Key Accountabilities • To perform, record and report measurement activities to determine accurate load/ discharge/ transfer quantities on all nominated movements in a wholly transparent and industry compliant manner • To obtain representative samples as per client specific instruction or by industry best practise to ensure product integrity and quality of analysis • To provide complete and accurate raw data in support of submitted electronic reports to Inspection Supervisor/ Manager for verification/ sign off prior to client release • Identify and initiate improvements to current inspection operations in order to maximise personnel utilisation, equipment availability and adherence to technical standards • Sound understanding and knowledge of inspection and measurement techniques/ equipment to promote continuous improvement and provision of quality service • Utilise fully SGS inspection reporting program exclusive of typographic or numerical errors • Comply fully with all issued requests and instructions received verbally or electronically as relayed in/ externally • To execute all assignments in strict accordance with local and client operational/ H&S procedures (RIICS, NAVARIK etc) and at all times act in a professional manner • When called upon, assist in the resolution of client enquiries in a timely and effective manner to ensure consistency of service delivery and agreed contractual obligations • Maintain assigned field measurement and sampling equipment to ensure calibration, fitness for purpose and cleanliness • Maintain issued PPE • Adopt a flexible approach regards operational assignments to encompass all additional local field activities e.g STS Movements, Auto-Sampler, Stock Checks etc • Identify, record, report and where possible address any observed potential H&S hazards in line with OGC 18001 certification and proactive support mechanisms • Co-operate fully with in/ external auditors and assist in close out of any observations and/ or N/Cs • Maintain timely and accurate comm’s with Inspection Supervisor/ Manager and where applicable client contacts regards delays and any/all potential impacts on work execution • Provision of reports, timesheets and expenses to local management team for approval • Where applicable liaise with local laboratory team to ensure timely execution and reporting of works, quantity and qualtity • At all times, adopt a safe behaviour by exercising due regard for the health and safety of yourself, colleagues and clients, in line with the Company’s policies and procedures inclusive of Rules for Life • Ensure full compliance with the Company’s Code of Integrity & Professional Conduct, and at all times adopt behaviour in accordance with SGS UK’s Equality & Diversity policy

• GCSE: Maths & English (grades A to C) or equivalent
• Full, current, valid UK driving licence
• IFIA Certified

• A level passes in Maths, English or science related subject
